Fun Fact
I want to share a fun fact about a life hack I learned recently.
Speaking of US health care system, there are substantial amount of money burning for it. For example, we are all entitled to have a annual physical exaimnation coverd by health insurance.
But once you try it, it sucks.
It was 2 years ago, summer, it took me almost 2 Quaters to talk to a PCP (primary care provider) virtually, and another month for only the blood draw test. And it ends up insurance company paying $650 to blood draw & $250 for booking it.
In summary, ~1K and half year for just a blood draw. I complain it a lot to friends, and everyone tell me this is normal. So I accept it untill recently. 3 months ago, our little family welcomed a third member, my daughter, Y.
Since she came to the world, I start to prepare a lot things, for her and for my wife. As the only financial resource at the moment, so I made a purchase of life insurance for half Million for 10 years.
Guess what, I got the physical examination appointment the following morning. And I only paid $12.5 for it initally or 1500 for 10 years.
So I learned this lesson if you really want people to help, try to turn them into part of stakeholder..
